Troubleshooting tips for installation of the Toolbar

  • Some organisations place restrictions on whether certain files can be downloaded and run from the web. If you get a notice saying that you cannot download the Toolbar please talk to your helpdesk.
  • Security settings can affect your ability to install the Toolbar. On Internet Explorer try going to Tools, Internet options, Security tab, 'custom level' security button, then ensure 'Download unsigned ActiveX controls' is set to 'prompt'. Then when prompted during the installation process, click to accept the installation of the unsigned toolbar.cab software.
  • Options for System Administrators to automate the installation process on their network can be found here.
